Peering Policy
Nexicom maintains an open peering policy and request the following:

  • Both parties operate a 24X7 Network Operations Center that has an escalation path to a senior network engineer in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Strict filtering should be enforced - Nexicom peforms filtering based on AS-SET information from RADB so please ensure your information is accurate.
  • Both parties should be responsive towards network security issues including unsolicited bulk email, Denial of Service attacks, and other complaints.
  • Neither party shall point default .route of last resort.; add a static route; or otherwise send traffic to the other party for a route not advertised via BGP.
  • Neither party shall modify, sell, or provide the next-hop to a third party.
  • Under no circumstances shall the interconnection partner be a simultaneous peer and transit customer.
  • Nexicom reserves the right to change, modify, or nullify this policy at any time without notice.
  • Nexicom reserves the right to approve or decline peering with anyone for any reason.
  • Both parties shall maintain accurate information in www.peeringdb.com
  • Nexicom sends and honors MED attributes - we suggest networks that have east/west coast presence to use and honor MED when possible for best performance
